Knox students take History for each of their three years of middle school. Sixth grade students take Ancient World History, covering the time span from early humans to the fall of the Roman Empire. In seventh grade, students take Medieval World History, from the aftermath of the Roman Empire’s fall up to the Age of Exploration. In eighth grade, students explore Early American History, from colonial times to Reconstruction after the U.S. Civil War. Students demonstrate critical thinking skills as they explore the cause and effect of historical events and conflicts.
