Vicki Conway joined iHigh Virtual Academy in 2016. Mrs. Conway was previously with Oaks Christian Online High School(OCO) in Westlake Village, CA. This college-preparatory, online school had 100% college placement for its graduates and served several other main campuses with blended learning across the country. Prior to OCO, Mrs. Conway was the acting principal of Insight Schools of CA, where she helped lead a team that served 8 counties across California and served almost 1,500, full-time online high school students.
Mrs. Conway loves alternative high school learning for the flexibility it provides students, for the life skills it teaches and for the problems it helps school and families solve. Mrs. Conway has lived in San Diego for the past 30 years and is excited to serve students in her community with the knowledge she has gained in online learning over the past 10 years.
iHigh is a public, blend of online learning and on-site courses. As an atypical, independent study high school in the San Diego Unified School District, iHigh offers the best of flexible online learning, and caring, on-site teachers. Students attend campus for science and math labs, physical education, art and monthly attendance checks. There are also multiple social opportunities for students through Associated Student Body, Yearbook, community service and get-togethers. iHigh boasts a high graduation and college matriculation rate, because students who are successful independent study workers often do well in advanced studies.
