PTA Association Meetings
All parents, family and community members are encouraged to attend PTA Association meetings. Holmes PTA Association meetings are typically held the third Thursday of September, January, March and May. Sometimes there are exceptions due to conflicts with other community events. Be sure to check the school calendar for the most up to date information.

2018-2019 PTA Association Meeting Schedule
Thursday, September 6, 2018 -- Approval of Budget, Programs and Final-Year Audit.
Thursday, January 17, 2019 -- Election of the Nominating Committee, Review of the mid-year Budget
Thursday, March 14, 2019 -- Election of the PTA Board Officers for following year, Adoption of mid-year Audit.
Thursday May 16, 2019 -- Adoption of preliminary nest year Budget, Installation of Officers.
The Holmes PTA is the only group with authority to:
• Elect officers;
• Approve/ratify all PTA expenditures;
• Approve all contracts for PTA programs, events and projects;
• Adopt the budget;
• Adopt the audit report;
• Authorize an individual to represent the PTA;
• Authorize a position to be taken on an issue after a study;
• Elect convention delegates;
• Elect the nominating committee;

Executive Board Meetings
The Holmes PTA Executive Board meets monthly as specified in the Holmes PTA Bylaws. The Board typically meets the 1st Monday of each month. Board meeting members include officers of the association, chairmen of standing committees, the school principal and the staff representative. Executive board meetings and minutes are confidential and attendance is limited to those individuals specifically listed in the bylaws.
