    Planting

Canyon Rim Garden

In January 2014, Holmes students along with several parents, community volunteers, and staff from Fish and Wildlife and California Native Plant Society came out to plant our Canyon Rim Native Plants Garden.

Over 120 Tecolote - specific natives were added, along with rocks, gorilla hair mulch (ideal mulch for natives) and pathways.

In the following weeks a new Bear Fence was installed to help keep playground balls out, trellises for openings and native trailing vines.
