Core Academy at Hancock

Core Academy (formerly known as Saturday School) is an additional instructional day offering academic support in various core subject areas (Math, Science, English and Social Studies) to help students reach their academic goals. Core Academy program is designed based on the needs of Hancock students registered to attend. Core Academy provides instruction for four (4) hours and is taught by certificated Hancock teachers. 

In addition to additional instruction and support in academics, students attending Core Academy may recover one (1) eligible full day absence for each full day of attendance.

If you are interested in having your student participate in a Core Academy session, you will need to sign up with the front office. Below are the dates for Core Academy at Hancock during the 2019-2020 School Year:

A breakfast meal is available for students attending Core Academy. If your child is approved to receive Free or Reduced Price Meals, the breakfast is available at no cost. If your child pays for meals, please make sure they have money in their cafeteria account to cover the cost of the breakfast of $1.25.
