I was born and raised on the East Coast, mostly in New York. I came to San Diego for college and never wanted to leave this beautiful place. I received my teaching credential and then a Master in Education Degree in 2001. I first taught in Irvine, California in a 5th grade class. I could not stay away from San Diego, so I moved back to San Diego and taught kindergarten for one year at Juarez Elementary. I figured out that I am best suited to older children and have taught 3rd through 8th graders for the last ten years. Now that I am at Grant, I have no plans of ever leaving!
My husband Michael, who is also a teacher and I have three amazing children. Our oldest son is Jack, our middle son is Luke, and our little girl, is Sophia. My hobbies have been taken over by my children! I do love to cook, read and spend time with my family. My children's six grandparents keep us very busy!
I love my job and all the people that I work with everyday! I think that being a teacher is the most important job and I take it very seriously!
