District Home

Dear Parents,
Welcome to room 41!
Homework: Homework will go out once at the beginning of each month and will be due at the end of the month.   There will be a few projects during the year. The first one will be to collect Environmental print clippings off grocery items, magazines, etc.
Nutrition Break:   Please send a healthy snack such as: crackers, carrots, cheese, fruit, yogurt, applesauce, vegetables and a water. Please send a snack daily, even on Thursdays.  Remember the Kinder classes are nut free.
Lunch Number: Each child needs to know his or her lunch number (but is given time to do so over the year) in order to get a hot lunch at school. Please pay the cafeteria directly in the morning. Students will eat lunch on Thursdays at 11:35 am before they are dismissed at 12:15 pm.  Lunch on MTWF is at 11:05 am. You may want to pay the cafeteria for a few lunches, in case your child forgets his or her lunch.
Celebrations: Due to State and Districts constraints, we are not allowed to have birthday parties with food or party bags during instructional time. If you would like to provide a non-food item for the class ie one pencil or a few stickers, we can pass them out at the end of the day. I will provide your child with a song and a birthday hat as well.
Dismissal Time: Our start time is 7:50 am everyday. Before school, please help your child place their snack and lunch in the bins located outside the classroom door. After a few weeks, try to let your child be more independent by putting their backpack away by themselves. On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, our school day ends at 2:05 pm. Thursday is our minimum day, and we will dismiss at 12:15 pm. Please be on time to pick up your child. Please come in to the  classroom to pick up your child.
