On Thursday, May 24th, the 4th and 5th graders in Mrs. Yoder, Mrs. Padilla, and Mr. Barham's classes had the opportunity to participate in Kids' Ocean Day 2018. Almost 1,000 people came together from eight San Diego Elementary schools and spent the morning cleaning up Mission Beach. Afterwards, they gathered to create aerial artwork in the sand that included a giant wave and spelled out the words, "Waves of Change." Kids' Ocean Day focuses on educating kids about the impact they have on the environment and inspiring them to help protect our oceans and sea life. It was an amazing day!!
