Emerson/Bandini Elementary School is proud to partner with Harper for Kids to promote the character traits from legendary UCLA Coach John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success and his definition of success for children which is: “Success is happiness in your heart because you made the effort, 100%, to do your best!”
Incorporating the Pyramid of Success into our character education program helps students, staff members, and parents focus on achieving our Personal Best!.
Each month, Emerson/Bandini will highlight and focus on 1-2 of the fifteen building blocks of success illustrated in Coach Wooden’s children’s book, Inch and Miles: The Journey to Success. Many of our positive behavior support programs will revolve around the principles taught in this inspiring children's book.
Harper for Kids is a children’s nonprofit organization founded by Tim & Peanut Louie Harper in 2008 to teach children the character traits necessary to succeed in life.
All of us at Emerson/Bandini Elementary are excited about working with Harper for Kids to bring focused character education to our students. For more information about Harper for Kids and Coach Wooden’s Pyramid of Success, please visit their website:
