Welcome to Room 304! Your child’s first grade year will be taught by two very dedicated, experienced teachers who have already been perfecting lessons together for the past several years. Let us introduce ourselves:
Teri Armstrong (teaching M, T, W, Th): 29 years teaching grades 1-5, Master’s in Education, supplemental Reading and Language credentials.
Danielle Erez (teaching Fridays): 14 years teaching grades K-5 Master’s in Education, supplemental credential in Spanish and Gifted-Talented Education.
We are looking forward to another exciting year teaching first grade
and watching the children grow academically, as well as socially. We will spend time individually/small groups getting to know each child’s personality, strengths and interests. We will try our best to educate your child based on our combined training and classroom experience.
Why team teach? Quality collaborated planning, creative problem solving, abundance of ideas, shared assessments AND “two-pair-of-eyes” on your child.
We have your child’s best interest at heart to ensure your child has a very successful year in first grade!!! We look forward to seeing you at
Back-to-School Night, August 31.

HOMEWORK: Homework will be explained at Back-to-School night. As for now, your child will need to complete an “All-About-Me” collage.
SNACK/LUNCH: Please keep snack (15 minutes) simple and quick so your child will have some time to play/exercise. Lunch (35 minutes) will need to be in a separate bag. Students who want to purchase school snack or lunch will need to memorize their student ID #.
Interested in volunteering? We welcome all parents and everyone can help whether from home or in the classroom. There will be a volunteer sign-up sheet posted at Back-to-School night. Classroom volunteers working with children must complete an application and have a TB clearance. Field trips require an additional application. Anyone that would like to help now with one of the following projects, please let us know: 1) Take a picture of each student for our Character Education paper people 2) At-home prep work.
Parent-Teacher communication: Each student will receive a clear Daily Home/School plastic folder for letters and take-home books. A Friday Folder with classwork will be sent home at the end of each week.
