Welcome to Room 304! Your child’s FIRST GRADE year will be taught by two very dedicated, experienced teachers who have been sharing a classroom and planning lessons together for several years.
We are looking forward to another exciting year teaching and watching children grow academically, as well as socially. We will spend time getting to know each child’s personality, strengths and struggles through individual/small/whole group instruction. We are passionately dedicated to educate your child based on our combined training and classroom experience. Let us introduce ourselves:
Teri Armstrong (Teaching M, T, W, TH): 29 years teaching grades 1-5, Master’s Degree in Education, supplemental Reading and Language credentials.
Danielle Erez (Teaching Fridays, alternating Thursdays): 12 years teaching grades K-5, college instructor, Master’s Degree in Education, bilingual credential, and GATE certification.
Why team-teach? “Two-pair-of-eyes” on your child with quality collaborated planning, assessing, creative problem solving & ideas.
We have your child’s best interest at heart and we both will be communicating with each other on a daily basis to ensure your child has a very successful year in first grade!!! We look forward to seeing you at
Back-to-School Night, Thursday, August 30.

HOMEWORK: Homework will be explained at Back-to-School night. As for now, your child will need to complete: 1) a collage for our “Getting-to-know-you” class project, 2) Character Ed paper person (following week)
SNACK & LUNCH: Please keep snack simple/quick so your child will have some time to play/exercise. Students have more time for lunch. Students will need to memorize their student ID # if buying snack and/or lunch.
Interested in volunteering? We welcome all parents and everyone can help support the students/teachers, whether at home or in the classroom. There will be a volunteer sign-up sheet posted at Back-to-School night.
Classroom volunteers working with children must complete a “B” and “D” application (EACH year) and have a current TB clearance. Anyone that would like to help now with one of the following projects:
1) Take a picture (+print) of each student for our Character Education paper people, 2) At-home teacher prep work (cutting, sorting, stapling)
Parent-Teacher communication: Each student will receive a clear DAILY Home-School plastic folder (reading books, urgent parent letters) and a Friday Folder (parent letters, classwork, tests) . RETURN folders.
