Welcome Kindergarten Students and Families!
Thank you for coming today! Please make yourself at home in our classroom. It is a work in progress and will be throughout the year as we learn together. We will make it our home away from home when the students arrive and we create things together to fill our space.
This is going to be a great year at E.B.S. You and your kindergarten child will love Everybody’s Best School! I hope to answer most of your questions about the first days of school and the year ahead during the orientation meeting. If you still have questions, please let me know and I will do my best to answer them for you. You can also reach me by email at email@example.com. I check my email daily; however, if you need to get me a message before the end of the school day, please leave a message with the front office and they will find me.
During the first weeks of school I will send home a lot of important information about our classroom and school procedures. Please check your child’s backpack each day to see if any new materials were sent home. For information about school wide activities please check the EBS website at www.sandiegounified.org/schools/eb-scripps or our AFP website at www.ebs-afp.org . I may also send home information for just our class by email or newsletters.
The front gate will open at 8:30 am on Monday morning and school begins at 8:45 am. I know we are all excited for the first day of kindergarten! I can’t wait to see everyone’s smiling faces at our line up spot in the kindergarten playground. Have your child place snacks in our bin outside the classroom door and hang their backpacks when you arrive, then line up on the Kindergarten playground-look for the “202” in chalk. Please remember to say a quick goodbye to your child outside…don’t worry, YOU will be fine! The AFP has invited you to the Volunteer Parent Fair at 8:45 am in the multi-purpose room. Don’t forget that kinder students have early dismissal for the entire first week. You can pick up your child at 12:30 at our classroom door. It is going to be a fun day and a great year!
