Welcome Room 206 Families
It was a pleasure to meet most of you at Back to School Night. We can’t wait for the first day of school! Don’t be worried…it will be a fabulous day even if there are some tears at the start!
If you have additional questions that weren’t answered at Back to School Night or Orientation, you can e-mail us at (Mrs. Miller) email@example.com or (Mrs. Leatherwood) firstname.lastname@example.org (we check our email more consistently). During the school year, if any situation arises where you need to make sure we get a message before the end of the school day, please leave a message with the front office noted “urgent” and they will find us.
We are hoping to stay connected and communicate often. There are many ways to stay well informed about what is going on. Check the EBS website for updated information about school activities at www.sandiegounified.org/schools/eb-scripps. Many flyers and papers go home in the daily folders. We may also send home information pertaining to just our class via e-mail. You can also visit our class website at linneamiller.com for weekly blog updates and a variety of other information. This year we will be using a private Facebook group to share pictures and information between families, www.facebook.com/groups/ebs206.1718/
The front gate will open at 8:30 am on Monday morning and school will begin at 8:45. Encourage your child to hang up their backpack, put snack away, and walk around to the line in the kinder playground. Don’t worry if you’re child is anxious or a bit teary when you try to say goodbye. They quickly jump into the day when all the parents leave and the emotions of drop-off time end. Don’t forget to stop by the parent breakfast at 9:00 am in the multi-purpose room! Pick-up time is 12:30 for TK’s. We can’t wait to meet your children and start this year!

PS…Due to assessments, all TK and K students will dismiss in the classrooms at 12:30 for the first week only.
