Birthdays are a very important day in a child’s life. Unfortunately, we do not have time for a big celebration or party for each child as it takes time away from instruction. If you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday at school, please check with your child's teachers to see what the procedures are for that grade level.
- All birthday celebrations are scheduled at the beginning of the year.
- Due to allergy and health concerns, popsicles are the only food allowed at birthday celebrations. Beginning in 2016 all popsicles must comply with state nutritional guidelines in the California Ed Code by being 100% juice or 100% fruit.
- We highly recommend that you celebrate with a non-food prize such as a special pencil or party favor.
Teachers will be happy to help your child pass out birthday party invitations if there is an invitation for everyone in the class or everyone of your child’s gender. If all children in a class are not invited, please mail the invitations.
