Dingeman



Dear Dingeman Families: 

Congratulations Dingeman Tigers! We received our 2019-2020 No Place for Hate designation! Our school banner will be displayed on campus soon!

It is hard to believe that we have 7 school days remaining. I look forward to sharing what school will look like for the 2020-21 school year. As soon as I have more information I will communicate that with you. 

This week, we will have a three day window for the collection of school materials and the distribution of student personal property. Teachers will have the opportunity to come to campus to pack up any essential student materials to distribute. We have created a schedule where families can drive onto campus, stay in their vehicle and we will collect and distribute items with social distancing guidelines in mind. This will be similar to the device distribution. 

Please note that this will only be for Mr. Joe’s class, Tk, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade. Our promoting 5th grade students will have the opportunity to gather and drop off their items on June 8th as we see them off to middle school! More details to come to 5th grade families. 

Come prepared by:

  • having student and teacher name written on a piece of paper and able to be read from 6 feet away. 

 The following items will be collected:

  • library books

  • classroom library books

  • musical instruments that belong to the school (clearly labeled with student name)

  • any other school property students may have

If possible please have your items in a bag labeled with student and teacher name. 

We are not collecting student chromebooks. We will only be collecting chromebooks if you will be leaving the San Diego Unified School District. 

The following items will be distributed:

  • any essential items/personal property the teacher packs up

  • yearbooks if purchased 

A map will be provided shortly, indicating where you will go to drop off and pick up materials in the parking lot at Dingeman. If you need to drop off and don't have access to a vehicle, we will have a walk up option.  If you have students in multiple classrooms, we will do our best to gather items in one trip. If that is the case, I would request coming during the Thursday or Friday time slot.

We will have the opportunity for a make up time if the times provided do not work for your family.  

Below is a list of the times we will be distributing by class. The two classes assigned will have the full 40 minutes, so there is no need to come at the start time. Again, there will be a map coming your way that will explain where each location will be located.
