PrimeTime at De Portola

PRYDE Objectives

January 2017

Week 1 Jan 11th/12th: Goal Setting

Objective: Students will be able to evaluate their goal(s) that they set at the beginning of the year and adjust their personal/academic goals. Students will understand how to work toward achieving their goals. Students will learn how to set goals that will help them achieve their desired success.

Week 2 Jan 18th/19th: Violence- Physical/Emotional

Objective: Students will be able to explain the cause and effect of violence in various settings and describe preventive solutions that we can implement to stop and prevent more violence from happening. Students will understand the dangers of violence. Students will understand the different types of violence and what they encompass. Students will understand what we must do in order to help prevent violence from happening in our lives and our communities.

Week 3 Jan 25th/26th: Violence- Group/Individual

Objective: Students will be able to analyze the similarities and differences of individual and group violence in various settings and describe preventative solutions that we can implement to stop and prevent more violence from happening. Students will understand what we must do in order to help prevent violence from happening in our lives and our communities.
