2020 Dana Parent Virtual Meeting for Incoming Families - June 8

Future Dana Families,


Please join us on Monday, June 8th at 3:00 PM for a virtual incoming parent meeting. Principal Irwin, Vice Principal Lepetri, Dana Association President Becca Torres, staff members, and current Dana students will be present to share information about Dana Middle and answer questions. Login information can be found at the bottom of this email.


Learn about the reopening of school. Hear how we will support your child from both an academic and socio-emotional lens. Listen to students describe their experience making the transition from elementary to Dana. Learn how you can continue to stay engaged in your child’s education.


Parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and participate in a round-table conversation. We will cover the following topics:

  • Welcome & Introduction to key staff members and students

  • Resources available to support students and families

  • Overview of the reopening of school

  • Discussion regarding steps parents can take to prepare their children for the transition

  • Parent involvement opportunities

  • Parent Q/A - responses from panel of staff and students


The first half of the event will include presentations. Participants will be muted during this time. Moderators will be present in the chat window to respond to parent questions in real-time. Participants will be unmuted during the Q/A session in order to allow for the opportunity to ask additional questions.

The meeting will be recorded for parents to view at a future date/time in the event they are unable to attend. A list of documents referenced during the meeting will be made available to parents after the event.
