Strickland, Amanda

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to check out your favorite DHH teacher! Below is some “interesting information” about Miss. Strickland in case it is ever a category on Jeopardy.

Education – I received my Bachelor of Arts from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. After that I received my M.A from UC San Diego, in Bilingual Education: ASL and English. I am currently in my fourth year of teaching. I have taught from Kindergarten through elementary and now into middle school.

Residency – I am a San Diego native (born and raised) but I have lived in over 8 locations including different cities, states and countries. There is no place I would rather call home than San Diego.

Hobbies – I love to read, watch movies, go dancing, eat what my friend bakes me, LAUGH, hike and go to the beach.

Teaching Currently – This year is a swing to the math and sciences. I am currently teaching three math classes, one science and one history. If your child is in one of these classes with me, you might hear about all the cool things we do during the day and how silly Miss. Strickland is. Know that I value each moment I get to spend with my students and look forward to each period with them.
