Welcome to CPMA Dance!  Dance has always been my passion and it brings me joy to share my love with of dance with others.  I began teaching dance in 2003 at CPMA.  I have seen this school grow from a small elementary school campus to our current middle school campus and am excited to be in our performing arts center.

Our dance program focuses on the basics of performance art dance including tap, jazz, modern, and ballet.  I trained in dance as a child at a local dance studio and continued my dance education at UCSD majoring in dance and minoring in Teacher Education.  In addition to my bachelor's degree, I received my teaching credential and Master's degree in education from UCSD.
Although my goal is to educate children in dance, I also believe it is important to educate children in how to "be."  I want my students to leave their time in my class with a greater awareness of others including how to interact and share human kindness.  I also am CPMA's WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) coordinator where I work with 8th graders to mentor and educate 6th graders about middle school and specifically our CPMA campus.  I am also actively involved with California Dance and Movement Workshop, RCIA at my church, and am a company member with California Rhythm Project.  I enjoying spending time with my family and relaxing when I can find the time!
