How do students qualify to participate in 8th grade end-of-year activities? Students must have good behavior with no “N” or “U” citizenship grades on the 4th progress report (final review June 2nd) and a minimum citizenship GPA of 2.0. In addition, there should be no suspensions in the last six weeks of the school year; no referrals for behavior; no excessive tardies; no truancies; no more than one F grade on the 4th progress report and a minimum academic GPA of 2.0; and students must have satisfied all assigned detentions. In addition, students must have completed their CAASPP testing obligations and have no outstanding library or student fines (e.g., library, cafeteria, chocolate fundraiser, etc.)
What is required to participate in promotion activities? Eighth grade students should not have more than one F grade in a core subject. Core subjects are: English, Math, Science, and History.
