Correia will have parking available in the lower parking lot and on the field through the upper parking lot. Street parking is limited. Please obey all passenger loading and handicap zones.

Etiquette Guidelines

Since middle school reflects a continuing chapter, and not the end of a student's academic experience, we are asking that parents/guardians adhere to the following guidelines for suitable dress/attire for your son/daughter at the promotion ceremony:

GIRLS
Clothes should be suitable for dressy daytime wear. Students may not wear formals, strapless, halter, backless or spaghetti strapped tops/dresses; tops exposing the midriff or high cut side seam shorts/skirts/dresses. High heels, strapless/backless/slide type shoes are not recommended.

BOYS
Attire should be suitable for dressy daytime wear. Regular slacks fitting neatly at the waist (no sagging and no shorts). Shirts may be worn with or without a tie. Collarless t-shirts are not appropriate. Sport jackets are acceptable. Tuxedos are not appropriate. Students must wear shoes, no flip-flops.

We hope to minimize expense to families and present the class members with grace and decorum. Students dressed inappropriately will not participate or will have to call home for a change of clothes. We thank you in advance for your support of our Correia promotion dress code guidelines.

In order to maintain an environment suitable for all of our audience, we ask that balloons and other objects that may obstruct people's view be signed in at the office. They can be retrieved after the ceremony. Balloons are not permitted in the auditorium.

Limousines for middle school promotion are excessive and inappropriate.

On June 14, students should plan to arrive at the start of school at 7:25 a.m. and report to their Period 1 Advisory class. Students staying on campus will return to an assigned classroom, where they will remain until dismissal at 12:30 p.m. If you have any questions regarding the Promotion Ceremony, please call the Correia office at (619) 222-0476. Siblings who attend Correia may attend the promotion ceremony.

8th Grade Student Plans for High School
Please help us to make your child's transition to high school a smooth one. For any 8th grade students going to high school but who will NOT be attending Point Loma High, please call the Correia attendance office ASAP at (619) 222-0476 ext. 2106, so that student records will not be sent to PLHS and will remain here at Correia. We appreciate your help in ensuring a smooth transition to high school for your 8th grader!

Library Books Are DUE!!

All library books
are now DUE.

To find out what your student owes, go to the Correia website and select library under "For Students". Click on the login button and use your child's school ID and password. Select the "My Info" tab. Not returning books will negatively impact 9th graders when they attempt to get textbooks in high school.

Remember, in order to participate in the end of year activities, students must return ALL library materials and pay for lost or damaged books. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. McKay in the library at 619-222-0476 x2902.

Pick Up Your Lost & Found Items
lost and found Our rack of lost and found items is overflowing!

There are jackets and sweatshirts, lunch boxes, water bottles, P.E. clothes, etc.

Please ask your children to look through the items on the clothes rack outside the library to claim any lost items that belong to them. Thank you!
