Online registration for the 2020-21 school year will not be available until after May 1st, pending delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are currently accepting registration for the 2019-20 school year. You may also register online at https://www.sandiegounified.org/new-student-online-enrollment . The online process is only open for students who are enrolling in their school of residence and are new to the district.

Children entering Kindergarten must turn 5 years old before or on September 1, 2019. Children who will have their fifth birthday between September 2, 2019 and December 2, 2019 are eligible to enroll in a Transitional Kindergarten program. Transitional Kindergarten provides time for younger students to engage in early academic learning experiences designed to promote success in kindergarten and beyond.
Please bring a copy of your child’s original birth certificate, proof of residency (SDGE bill, water bill, rental agreement, tax bill) dated within a month of enrollment and your child’s immunization records. The following are the required immunization records for Kindergarten:
POLIO (OPV and/or IPV): Four doses at any age; or three doses if the third dose was administered on or after the 4th birthday
DIPHTHERIA, TETANUS AND PERTUSSIS (DTP, DTAP or DT) : Five doses at any age; or four doses if the fourth dose was administered on or after the 4th birthday.
MEASLES, MUMPS, RUBELLA (MMR): Two doses of measles-containing vaccine are required. One dose of mumps- and rubella-containing vaccine is required. All vaccines must have been given on or after the first birthday.
HEPATITIS B: Three doses.
VARICELLA: One dose administered on or after the first birthday or history of clinical disease documented by physician. (NEW REQUIREMENT FOR 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR: TWO DOSES OF VARICELLA)
PHYSICAL EXAM: The student must have a physical and dental dental examination completed within 6 months prior to the start of Kindergarten.
