Name: RMHC/Hacer Scholarship Program

Eligibility: Graduating seniors who have at least one parent of Hispanic/Latino origin, strong academic performance, and a personal drive to give back to the community. Must have a t least a 2.7 GPA and be a legal U.S. resident. 

Students must write four essays.

Amount: $2,000

February Due Date

Name:  San Diego College Promise Scholarship

Eligibility: San Diego Unified School District seniors (class of 2017)  who plan on attending during the 2017-2018 school year City College, Mesa College, or Miramar Community College. 

Students must complete an application, 3 short essay questions, proof of completion of the FAFSA or Dream Act, and proof of enrollment for Fall 2017 from City College, Mesa College, or Miramar College.

Amount: Award recipients will receive funding for the cost of any tuition, textbooks, and materials that FAFSA or Dream Act does not cover. 

Deadline: February 10, 2017

Name: Distinguished Young Women Scholarship

Eligibility: Must be on track to complete 11th grade by June 2017 and graduate with the Class of 2018. Participant and Parent orientation meeting (not mandatory) February 4, 2017. All rehearsal will be held at the Scripps Ranch Recreation Center and participants must attend 3 of the 7 rehearsals starting February 11,2017. Participant must be able to attend the Dress Rehearsal and Showcase on Sunday April 2,2017. Those selected as a Distinguished Young Women of San Diego County must be able to attend the California State Program in Bakersfield from July 14 – July 23. Participant must be a citizen of the USA and resident of San Diego County. Participant must be single and never been married.

Amount: Full college scholarship (tuition, room, and board)

Name: Salute to Education

Eligibility: Any high school senior who is a candidate for graduation in spring semester, attends a public school in San Diego, and has not received a full four year scholarship.

Amount: $1,000

Name: Martin Luther King, Jr Visual and Performing Arts Grant

Eligibility: Graduating Senior with a 2.75 GPA or better, live in san Diego County, U.S. citizen, passionate about and committed to your chosen field in the creative arts, and if you intend to major in this field in an accredited institution.

Must fill out a personal information sheet, personal essay, and two reference letters.

Amount: $1,500-$3,500

Eligibility: Graduating high school women who will be attending a four-year university, plan to have a career in the sciences including math, engineering, and computer science, and who is a U.S. citizen with a valid social security number.

Amount: $2,500 per year

Name: Raymond A Tice Scholarship Fund

Eligibility: Be a current high school senior and resident of San Diego County. Be a United States citizen or permanent resident. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25 to 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. Demonstrate commitment to serving their community. Demonstrate financial need. Be planning to attend any accredited two or four year college or university in San Diego County.

Eligibility: Graduating seniors of Portuguese descent, U.S. citizen, 3.5 total weighted GPA, participated in at least three extra curricular activities, three letters of recommendation.

Name: RB Chorale Scholarship

Eligibility: This scholarship competition is open to all San Diego County High School graduating students with musical talent in voice, piano, string, wind, brass, percussion (no combos), or any other solo instrument. We are seeking those who plan to continue their education in musical performing arts. 

Amount: $3,000, $2,000 and $1,500

Eligibility: Scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are pursuing a business related degree program at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Applicants must submit an original 250-500 word essay.

Support Collectors is excited to announce a new scholarship program that we want to share. We want to provide financial assistance to a selected college student who have either been affected by family separation in their own life, or who intends to pursue a career that will have a positive impact on separated families. The selected student will receive an award of $500 for use toward tuition, books, or living expenses.

All incoming freshman or existing undergraduate or graduate students in good academic standing are eligible to apply.

The $500 scholarship is given annually to a selected student based on the submission quality of the application, which will include a short, 1000 word or less essay on:
