Community College Help for Students in Special Education



 The San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) provides Special Education Services through the Disability Support Programs and Services department (DSPS) on each campus. Students who qualify will receive priority registration, (which means they get to pick their classes before anyone else). In order to be eligible for DSPS services the students must do the following: 

  • Enroll in the SDCCD district (City, Mesa, Miramar, Continuing Education) and receive a College System ID number (CSID)

  • Go to the DSPS office on the campus he/she wishes to attend
  • Bring a copy of the current IEP stating the student
