District Home

Hello Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to my classroom. Let me introduce myself. My name is Trina Good. I have been teaching in San Diego Unified for 14 years now. I have a wonderful husband and amazing son. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors camping, hiking or dropping a line in the water to catch fish.
I came to Chavez Elementary in 2009 and have loved it ever since. Most of my teaching has been in 2nd and 3rd grade, the last five being in 2nd. Teaching isn’t really a job to me (though it is hard work). It is so much more than that. To me, it is an investment I make into the lives of children and their families, something I do not take lightly. Every year is different, bringing with it its own set of rewards and challenges. Every year I look forward to it because there is great joy in seeing a child accomplish their goals or overcome a challenge; to see the progress they make by the end of the year. And even though I have been doing this for several years, I continue to learn and grow myself. Some days I think I learn as much from my kids as they do from me. ? Very often they amaze me.
Again, I say welcome to our school. You can click on the other links for further information regarding my class. Feel free to contact me with any questions at tgood@sandi.net or (619) 362-3200, ext. 2402
Thank you,
Mrs. Trina Good
