Classroom Operations
Listed below, you will find a list of some of the day to day operations and expectations of our classroom. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Class Motto:
“Today is a great day to learn something new!”
Posted Rules:
1. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
2. Follow directions the first time they are given.
3. Do your own work.
4. Raise your hand, wait patiently (Do not interrupt).
5. Do your best.
Bathroom Procedures:
Students are encouraged to go to the bathroom before school, during recess and after school. However, we also have a procedure while in class. They can also go during an independent time, after I have finished a lesson. They simply place their name tag on a chart, under the “bathroom” category, to let me know that they have gone.
Classroom Rewards and Consequences:
See separate link
Teacher Lunch:
At the end of each month I reward those students who have done their homework everyday. I keep track of their progress each day on a chart near the front door. You are welcome to check this as often as you would like. After the last day of the month, I write down all of the names of the students who have completed their homework and they join me for lunch in the classroom. They receive a special treat, a pencil, and special award. I usually have this lunch on the Friday, after the last day of the month.
