Challenger Middle School’s School Site Council, also known as the SSC, currently has an opening for a parent representative.
The School Site Council is composed of parents, school staff, and students who serve a two-year term. The School Site Council meets at least 8 times per year to oversee the implementation of various programs in the school, including state and federally funded programs. The School Site Council is a governing body that is responsible for deciding how to spend categorical money to improve the instructional program here at Challenger Middle School. The members work together to set goals for improving student achievement at the school and allocating funds to accomplish those goals.
Our monthly School Site Council meetings take place every second Thursday of each month at 6:30 a.m. in room 101.
If you would be interested in serving on the School Site Council at Challenger, please submit a nomination form to the school office no later than Thursday, September 14, 2017. A nomination form is listed below for your convenience.
