Safety Tips and Assault Suspect Information

Safety Tips

Representatives from the district's School Police Department and San Diego Police were on hand at the Town Hall meeting on December 5 at Mira Mesa High School to discuss the recent groping cases in the Mira Mesa area.  They are asking for assistance from the public to identify and locate a suspect(s) in connection to sexual battery incidents.  Please see the suspect information posted below for details.

Tips to keep student safe while traveling to and from school were distributed.  Walking in groups, staying on well-lit streets, and not wearing ear-buds so students could listen to their surroundings are their top recommendations.  They also included tips on what to do if something did happen and the information they need to help catch the person.  More safety tips are listed in the flyer below.

If your student encounters a problem on the way to school or after school, please contact the administration at Challenger Middle School.  You may also contact the San Diego Unified School District School Police Office at 619-291-7678 or 911 in the event of an emergency.
