Challenger Middle School and Social Advocates for Youth (SAY) San Diego are working together this year to host parenting classes on Challenger's campus. The fall series of classes was very sucessful. The small group provided more individual attention which helped parents address the needs of their teens and entire family. These classes are designed especially for parents of middle school students and will be led by an experienced counselor from SAY. Parents will learn how to communicate with their teen and develop effective discipline based in both firmness and kindness.
- Parenting styles
- Fostering positive goals
- Building self-esteem
- Effective communication
- Ways to gain cooperation
The intake for the class is January 14 and begins January 28 from 9:30-11:30 AM.
For more details and to sign up for the class, please contact one of Challenger's counselors.
