Students will take one or more of the following tests: Smarter Balanced assessments (SBAC), California Science Test (CAST), California Alternate Assessments (CAA) as part of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) in between April 29 - May 15.
Please try to schedule appointments to avoid removing your student from school during this time period. Between April 29-May 8, testing will take place during a lengthened advisory class from 7:15 to 9:00 AM. It is very important for students to arrive to school on time so they can test with their classes. Late students will not be allowed into classrooms to interrupt test sessions and may have to miss other classes to make up tests. We encourage all students to get a good night's rest and to eat a healthy breakfast before each day of testing so they can be at their best. Please read the testing preparation tips below for more information.
Superintendent Cindy Marten has written a letter informing parents up the upcoming testing which will be sent home with students and it is also posted below. If you have any questions about testing, please contact Challenger's Vice Principal, Donny Tenorio.
