“Having fun while building character!”
The San Diego Unified School District believes co-curricular recreational sport activities are a desirable part of a student’s educational program. The purpose of the intramural program is to provide fun, safe and structured play experiences that promote the physical, mental and social development of every child. Our aim is to provide opportunities for every individual, regardless of ability, to participate in a sport activity that will develop skill and interest in a friendly, recreation-centered environment. While we no longer play against schools within the district, we will have a tournament at the end of each sport.
Flag Football: October-November
All students are welcome to participate regardless of skill level. There is no minimum grade point average to participate, however, students need to consider their grades a priority and should attend tutoring over sports if necessary. In addition, students who are involved in serious discipline actions during school, or who are involved in unsportsmanlike conduct during the program, may be asked to leave the program.
All students are invited to participate in this program at no cost. Although students are no longer required to have medical insurance, we strongly suggest that those without medical coverage should purchase a low cost ($10) insurance through the district.
