Student Recognition

Rewarding Students

With so many bright and engaged students on Carver's campus, our staff makes sure to give students positive recognition in a variety of ways. Teachers recognize students for being responsible citizens for such contributions to a strong learning environment through such tasks as classroom helpers, campus beautification, library assistants, peer buddies and office monitors.

Campus recognition is done every week during the Monday morning assembly. Throughout the week students are rewarded with "Caught You Being Good" tickets. Tickets make them eligible to win prizes, and students have responded so enthusiastically to the program they work hard getting "caught."

We also reward students with perfect attendance and their parents and guardians for being part of the learning team, ensuring their students are at school promptly and ready to learn.

Plus students who achieve academic milestones receive recognition. We display photographs of pupils who earn their proficient and advanced scores on standardized tests, and all those who earned even higher levels on their academics. The PTA provides medals for these students' academic achievements.
