Welcome Parents, Guardians and Families
Carver Elementary school is located in an established neighborhood in Chollas park area that consists of single-family houses and apartment units. The school serves a richly diverse student population composed of white, Hispanic, African American, Filipino, Asian, and Indochinese youngsters who value and celebrate their own heritage and that of others.
Parents have many opportunities to be involved at their children's school site and at the district level. We also encourage parents to support their children at home by making their expectations about school clear and creating a positive homework and learning environment.
Our parents contribute to community in many ways. They devote hours of volunteer time helping with school activities, assisting in classrooms, directing the school beautification club, attending family learning nights, and participating in the English Learner Advisory Committee. Carver has an active PTA, which meets once a month to organize activities that enrich the education opportunity for students.
If you want to get involved, please contact the school at 619-344-6600 for more information.
