Our school promotes a positive learning environent for students by implementing a variety of programs practices. Exemplary behavior is recognized with positive comments, awards, stickers, public recognition, reward time at the counseling center, and a mention in the PTA newsletter. Counselors provide opportunities for students to learn good work habits, develop problem-solving skills, resolve conflicts, and enhance self-esteem.
To ensure each student receives an appropriate level of individual attention and support, class sizes are kept as small as possible. In grades K-3, each class has an average of 24 students. This is possible in part through funding provided by the state of California. 4th grade can go up to an average of 32 students, but we do our best to keep the grade level stable.
