The Learners-Equally-Achieving-Proficiency (LEAP) time occurs 3-5 days a week and provides students with the opportunity to receive targeted instruction in their areas of need. Teachers review assessment data at the beginning of the year and after each benchmark exam to determine where students might need additional support or additional challenge. The students at the grade level are then sorted into several groups and instruction is designed to address those needs.
LEAP begins in October in Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade and 3rd grade. Please ask your child's teacher for additional information. What make LEAP unique is that all LEAP work is different based on student needs.
