To all of our supporters and compas,
The Social Justice Youth Conference organizing committee would like to share how much we appreciate your support and solidarity with our 5th annual event. Over 300 students attended the conference this year from elementary, middle and high schools throughout the county. They participated in a wide range of hands-on, interactive workshops where they were exposed to concepts centered around resistance, identity and building autonomy. Youth enjoyed vegetarian breakfast and lunch while they listened to musical performances and the inspiring keynote speech. The students had the opportunity to explore new forms of expression and broadening their understanding of resistance and struggle.
We would like to extend a heartfelt, solidarious thank you to all of the individuals and organizations who contributed their funds, effort and expertise to make this conference possible. If you would like to take a look at a video of the day created by San Diego Unified School District click here. Below are some photo collages created by students in the Bell Social Justice Project and SDUSD.
See you next year!
