School District Plans and Support for Coronavirus

Hello, Hoover Families!

We want to be sure that your Hoover HS student has access to a computer and Internet connectivity.  In order to prepare, we need you to complete this link on behalf of your Hoover student(s)!  Please complete this link by April 5.  Completing this survey is critical to ensuring our Cardinals are set up for success through Distance Learning!  Even if you have a computer and Internet, please complete the form so we can verify you have the proper tools.   • San Diego Unified School District has set up a new website specifically for district updates and guidance regarding COVID-19. This page will be updated regularly as official guidance changes. Please check here for the latest information.  

  • An Instructional Resource page (click here) has been created to provide families in San Diego Unified School District support during school closures.

  • In addition, KPBS is partnering with local school districts to offer online learning options for teachers, parents & students while schools are closed. It includes an online library of free education tools and videos Please click here.
  • Hoover is offering teletherapy for our students during school closure. Mending Matters will be offering the mental health support via telehealth. Existing clients and parents/guardians of Mending Matters will be contacted by the school site therapist regarding this option. If your student is not a current client of Mending Matters, you sstill have the option to refer for short term support. Please call our intake line at (619)940-5165 or email at referrals@mendingmatters.org for more information. As always, if there is a mental health emergency call the San Diego Access and Crisis likne at (888)724-7240.
