To apply or find out if you are eligible, call Feeding America at 858-863-6635 or e-mail calfresh@feedingamericasd.org.  A member of the CalFresh team will pre-screen you over the phone and get you started on the application process.

CalFresh is a federal supplemental nutrition program for families and individuals that meet certain income and asset guidelines. Food stamp benefits help supplement your food budget and allow families to buy nutritious food. You can be working and still qualify for food stamps. If you qualify for food stamps you can use these benefits to purchase food at most grocery stores, convenience stores, and food markets.

CalFresh offers Restaurant Meals Program for Elderly, Disabled, or Homeless recipients who are unable to prepare meals at home. Young people experiencing homelessness on their own can receive CalFresh benefits, even if they are under 18, and even if they are living separately from their parents or guardians. Review the Fact Sheet for more information.
