GATE Testing and Identification

The San Diego Unified School District implemented a new protocal for gifted and talented identification beginning 2015-2016 school year.  The Cognitive Abilities Test Screener (CogAT)  was administered to students in grade 2 through 5 during Spring 2016.  The CogAt Screener is one element of the Multiple Criterion Matrix.  The Multiple Criterion Matrix looks at a variety of elements in an effort to have a more complete profile of each of our students.  This new system/protocal will be monitored and assessed for continual improvement.

The links below provide information about the GATE Testing Process and GATE Identication.  If you have further questions about the GATE Testing and Identification process please contact your school site's school psychologist.
