Budget Development oversees the Financial Reporting and Budget Development units. These units are responsible for the preparation and provision of complex fiscal, statistical, informational materials, and government reports for district management, the CFO, the Board of Education, and the general public.

Financial Reporting identifies and secures available financial resources and ensures fiscal accountability. The unit is responsible for the functions of Position Control, Grants, and Mandated Cost. 

The Budget Development unit compiles, prepares, and finalizes district expenditure reports, state-mandated interim reports, year-end financial reports and audited financial statements. Budget Development ensures that financial resources from federal and state agencies are appropriately used and reported.

The processing of all payroll posting to the general ledger, updating salary encumbrances, processing and posting of internal and external expense files, management of the consultant database, preparation of Board of Education agenda items for contracts between $1,000-$10,000, management of Chart of Accounts, report distribution, combo edit trees, and overrides are performed by Budget Development.
