On June 4th, 2018, Morse High School students surprised Ms. Debra Davis with a newer car.

Ms. Debra Ann Davis is a beloved food service worker at Hoover High School. Every day she provides food and nourishment to students so they can excel in the classroom. For the last several weeks, students from Mr. Leonardo Zarate’s auto body technician program have been preparing this vehicle for Ms. Davis as a beautiful act of kindness.

A 2014 Mazda 3 was donated by State Farm Insurance to Kids for Peace, home to The Great Kindness Challenge.  The vehicle was then provided to Morse High School’s Auto Body Shop for some paint and body work. The vehicle is now ready to be delivered to a very deserving recipient, Ms. Debra Ann Davis.

Ms. Debra Ann Davis was selected to receive this donation because she is selfless and cares about the students she serves. In her spare time, she also helps homeless families. She is a kind and loving person, and has a unique way of radiating positivity to students every day.
