Thousands of San Diego Unified Students become Part of History by Participating in Sri-Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run

KUSI's Ed Lenderman was live from San Diego Unified's Peace Run kick off at Freese Elementary this morning. Students from 12 San Diego Unified Schools in grades K-12 will participate in an International Peace Run starting Monday, March 20. The Peace Run will conclude at Hoover High School on Wednesday, March 23 with a grand finale reception. Superintendent Cindy Marten will be in attendance along with students from the various participating schools. The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run is a relay in which an international team of runners takes turns carrying an Olympic-style flaming torch to promote peace and harmony throughout the world.

San Diego Unified’s Peace Run will end with a Grand Finale at Hoover High School on Thursday, March 23, at 2:00 p.m.
