During the day, Debra Davis is a beloved food service work at Hoover High School. After school, she spends her spare time delivering home-cooked meals to the homeless. Ms. Davis received a big surprise recently - on June 4, 2018, Morse High School students surprised Ms. Davis with a newer car. During May, students from Mr. Leonardo Zarate’s auto body technician program have been preparing this vehicle for Ms. Davis as a beautiful act of kindness. A 2014 Mazda 3 was donated by State Farm Insurance to Kids for Peace, home to The Great Kindness Challenge.  The vehicle was then provided to Morse High School’s Auto Body Shop for some paint and body work.  Ms. Debra Ann Davis was selected to receive this donation because she is selfless and cares about the students she serves. In her spare time, she also helps homeless families. She is a kind and loving person, and has a unique way of radiating positivity to students every day. Her story was featured recently on the national news program, CBS Sunday Morning.
