WHAT: More than 150 elementary students from 13 San Diego schools are participating in the Chelsea King Invitational Mile. Students in grades 3-6 will compete against others in their grade level in this timed mile run.

SAN DIEGO (May 30, 2017) – The San Diego Unified School District will announce at this evening’s general board meeting that Mr. Jose Soto-Ramos has been offered the opportunity to serve as the Interim Principal for the 2017-2018 school year at Lincoln High School.

The decision to select Soto-Ramos as the Interim Principal was a true collaborative effort and one that was made after careful consideration and discussions with a panel comprised of teachers, students, parents, community members and district officials.

Captain Marquez, who previously served as the Interim Chief for the San Diego Unified School Police Department, is a 27-year police force veteran. His career began in 1990, when he served with the National City Police Department as a patrol officer for more than 11 years.
