New field, track installations under way at Henry, University City high schools

Activity is under way at both Patrick Henry and University City high schools to install new synthetic turf fields and all-weather tracks.  Funded by Proposition S, each project is valued at approximately $1.8 million.  The two schools are among several district high schools that will get new football fields and running tracks as part of the upgrades to their athletic facilities.   Completion on both is anticipated for December 2011.  Byrom-Davey, Inc., is the contractor on the projects.  For more project information, visit our school facilit

Sustainable Technologies Project Starts

Construction is starting this month at Scripps Ranch High School on its new Sustainable Technologies Program Building. Funded by a California Proposition 1D Grant and Proposition S, the building will house an innovative College, Career & Technical Education (CCTE) program being developed at the school that focuses on renewable technologies.

Sessions Elementary Improvement Project Begins

Activity is under way at Sessions Elementary School to construct a new parking lot and student pick-up and drop-off zone in order to improve traffic and parking, and to ensure safer conditions at the school. Improvements include widening and relocating the existing driveway into the parking area, installing dedicated left turn lanes on Beryl Street, and adjusting traffic signals.
