There's no more confusion over where the Home of the Marauders is located. Mira Mesa High School is now on Marauder Way.

As part of the school's 40th anniversary celebration, the City of San Diego has renamed a portion of Reagan Road that circles Mira Mesa High School to Marauder Way, in honor of the school's mascot.

San Diego City Council Member Chris Cate, the City of San Diego, the Mira Mesa Town Council, and Mira Mesa High School have been working in concert for over a year to change the portion of Reagan Road between Mira Mesa Boulevard to Camino Ruiz to Marauder Way. The street renaming pays homage to the the outstanding contributions Mira Mesa High School students and graduates have made to the San Diego community.

Through the City of San Diego's Community Projects, Program and Services Funding Program, Council Member Chris Cate's office allocated $3,900 to the Mira Mesa Town Council for the costs associated with renaming the street and installation of the new signs.

"Mira Mesa High School is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year," said Cate. "Renaming the street is a wonderful way to acknowledge alumni, while endowing future generations."
