San Diego High School To Host 2nd Annual Binational “Balboa Cup” Soccer Tournament
This tournament will feature boys and girls teams comprised of student athletes from San Diego and Tijuana High Schools.
 
In collaboration with the San Diego Unified School District and School Board Trustee Dr. Mike McQuary, the San Diego International Sister Cities Associationwill host the 2nd annual international Sister City All Star Soccer Tournament at San Diego High School’s Balboa Stadium.

WHAT: The San Diego Unified School District will hold an inaugural flag-raising ceremony of the Rainbow Pride and Trans Pride flags in recognition of June as Pride Month. Superintendent Cindy Marten will be joined by Board of Education members, students, staff, and representatives from community organizations and elected officials. The ceremony highlights the district’s ongoing commitment and education plan to promote safe and affirming school spaces for LGBTQIA+ students, families, and educators. Students will share their thoughts on what the flag raising ceremony means to them.
