Harvest of the Month: Hass Avocados

Sandi Coast Cafe is celebrating the connection between school meals and local farms all month long. Students will have the chance to taste fresh, seasonal produce, learn about the farmers who grow our food, and discover fun ways to eat healthy.


This month’s Harvest of the Month is creamy Morro Bay Avocados from Shanley Farms — perfect for learning about a nutritious fruit that’s grown right here in California. Be sure to check them out in the cafeteria! 


Salad Bar Spotlight: Our Salad Bars will also feature Grape Tomatoes; they’re rich in vitamin C, potassium, and antioxidants like lycopene, making them a nutritious addition to students’ meals.


National School Lunch Week (October 13-17)

We’re gearing up for an exciting journey for National School Lunch Week (NSLW). On average, Sandi Coast Cafe serves 50,000 lunches every school day. This year’s theme is “Taste the World: Your School Lunch Passport.” 


Every tray is a ticket to flavor, get your passports ready! Celebrate with us by enjoying a school meal with your students at the cafe, engage on social media by posting photos, tag SandiCoastCafe, and use #NSLW25.
