This October, San Diego Unified is proud to recognize LGBTQIA+ History Month. As a district, we remain committed to creating schools where every student feels safe, included, and affirmed. LGBTQIA+ History Month is a time to reflect on the resilience, contributions, and rich history of the LGBTQIA+ community, and to ensure that these stories are represented in the curriculum our students learn from.
We are dedicated to acknowledging, protecting, and celebrating all students, including those who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. By continuing this learning, we strengthen our collective commitment to belonging and respect across every classroom and campus.
