San Diego Unified students in grades 7–12 who currently have a C, D or F in math can apply for free online tutoring through Thinkist MetaSocratic Peer Tutoring.
The program focuses on building understanding and making connections in math -- not just memorizing facts. Students work with professionally trained peer tutors who serve as mentors, facilitators and coaches to help strengthen math skills and confidence.
