Are you passionate about improving communication in your school district? Do you want to help make sure students have better access to information, resources, and opportunities? If so, we invite you to apply for the Student Communications Committee (SCC)!
The Student Communications Committee is a student-led district organization dedicated to strengthening communication across San Diego Unified School District. The committee works to identify gaps in how information is shared between district, schools, and students and to develop solutions that make important updates and opportunities more accessible to all students.
As a member of the SCC, you will have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate with students from different schools across the district.
- Share student perspectives and highlight student voices in district communication.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve how information is shared.
- Participate in bi-weekly (twice a month) meetings and work with other student leaders to create meaningful change.

Who Can Apply?
Any student in a San Diego Unified middle or high school (grade 6-12) is eligible to apply.
Member Expectations:
- Attend bi-weekly (twice a month) meetings to the best of your ability
- Actively contribute ideas, feedback, and perspectives during discussions
- Accurately represent your school and student community
- Communicate respectfully and collaborate with fellow members
- Demonstrate integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to improving district communication
